What is the impact of digital images and technologies on our
construction of reality? "Lima Project" is a collection of more than
30 digital animations (renders) of urban projects, postponed or not carried
out, planned for the city of Lima. A tour of a utopian city, in the process of
development, which is planned and ordered, but which only remains in its
virtuality. This work arises from the growing concern about the lack of
projection with which my city grows, where the short term of immediate economic
benefit and political popularity prevail instead of a project that thinks about
the quality of life of its citizens .¿Cuál es el impacto de las
imágenes y las tecnologías digitales en nuestra construcción de la realidad?
“Proyecto Lima” es una colección de más de 30 animaciones digitales (renders)
de proyectos urbanos, postergados o no realizados, planteados para la ciudad de
Lima. Un recorrido por una ciudad utópica, en vías de desarrollo, la cual se
muestra planificada y ordenada, pero que solo se mantiene en su virtualidad.
Esta obra surge a partir de la creciente preocupación por la falta de
proyección con la que crece mi ciudad, en donde prima el corto plazo del
beneficio económico inmediato y la popularidad política en vez de un proyecto
que piense en la calidad de vida de sus ciudadanos.

Earth is a computer program that has the possibility of showing you the earth
in a virtual way, allowing you to simulate a journey through different
geographies, countries, cities, districts and avenues. In other words, a world
atlas, one of the most modern and contemporary anthropological tools, based on
satellite photography. The artist, himself a contemporary flaneur, decides to
appropriate this tool to visit the metropolitan center of Lima, in order to
reach the Shipibo Konibo community in Cantagallo located on the limit of the
Rímac River. Once close, on the Evitamiento road, it tends to cross to reach
its destination. But the program does not allow it, a type of gltich is
generated, a failure in the system, a visual defect that reveals a gray surface,
caused by the lack of spatial information on the territory, which makes its
entry impossible. The Shipibo community of Cantagallo from the Ucayali region
constitutes the first urban native community in Peru (In accordance with the
criteria of ILO Convention No. 169 to identify indigenous population) but it
also constitutes one of the poorest and most critical areas of the city.
Territory where more than 200 families grow and live together in an extremely
precarious and abandoned situation.This
virtual tool has exposed city heteropies and Cantagallo the example. Taking the
failure, denial and distortion of this hegemonic virtual system as a metaphor
for the lack of visibility of the state itself and municipal rulers before more
than 150 Communities in the capital, among Human Settlements and Associations
of Communards possibly mapped in this project. As they are not visibly
included, fewer will be incorporated into plans for citizen inclusion, quality
of life rights or human well-being.

	Google Earth&#38;nbsp; es un programa informático que tiene la posibilidad de mostrarte la tierra de forma virtual, permitiendo simular un recorrido por diferentes geografías, países, ciudades, distritos y avenidas. En otras palabras un atlas mundial, una de las herramientas más modernas y contemporáneas antropológicas, con base en la fotografía satelital. El artista, mismo flaneúr contemporáneo, decide apropiarse de esta herramienta para visitar el centro metropolitano de Lima, con la finalidad de llegar a la comunidad Shipibo Konibo de Cantagallo ubicada al margen del Rio Rímac. Una vez cerca, en la vía Evitamiento, tiende a cruzar para dar con su destino. Pero el programa no se lo permite, se genera un tipo de gltich, una falla en el sistema, un defecto visual que devela una superficie gris, ocasionada por la falta de información espacial del territorio, la cual imposibilita su entrada. La comunidad Shipiba de Cantagallo proveniente de la región Ucayali, constituye la primera comunidad nativa urbana en el Perú (Conforme a los criterios del Convenio N” 169 de la OIT para identificar población indígena) pero también constituye&#38;nbsp; uno de los espacios más pobres y críticos de la ciudad. Territorio donde crecen y conviven más de 200 familias en una situación sumamente precaria y abandonada.Esta herramienta virtual ha expuesto &#38;nbsp;heteropías&#38;nbsp; de ciudad y Cantagallo el ejemplo. Tomando la falla, negación y distorsión de este sistema virtual hegemónico como metáfora de la falta de visibilidad del propio estado y gobernantes municipales ante más de&#38;nbsp; 150 Comunidades en la capital , entre Asentamientos Humanos y Asociaciones de Comuneros posiblemente cartografiadas en este proyecto. Las cuales al no ser incluidas visiblemente, menos&#38;nbsp; serán incorporadas en los planes de inclusión ciudadana, derechos de calidad de vida o bienestar humano.
Es en base a la concepción de heteropías
que la construcción de la cartografía pensada para este proyecto busca
visibilizar aquello no visible, aquello segregado y oculto que también es
ciudad y que reclama acciones inmediatas. Describir de otra manera la realidad es comenzar a anticiparla,
a imaginarla, a proyectarla.

Parte del encuentro y el
reconocimiento mutuo entre el artista Randy Alva y los integrantes del
Colectivo Cultural miembros de la comunidad Shipibo-Konibo de Cantagallo. A partir de la imposibilidad de acceder al barrio
de Cantagallo mediante Google Street View -la prestación online de Google Maps-,
es que surge la iniciativa de problematizar esta ausencia con los artistas y
los activistas culturales locales. Si bien en un primer momento se baraja la idea
de una suerte de ‘normalización’ que pasaría por googlelizar Cantagallo, la dinámica puesta en juego da con el
resultado opuesto. La comunidad shipibiza la tecnología y de paso cuestiona de fondo la tentación cartográfica
occidental. El proceso de trabajo lleva a varios ejercicios de mapeo. Uno a
partir de la hibridación de diferentes sistemas de representación llevado a
cabo por los artistas locales mediante la pintura. Otro colectivo a partir de
los valores y percepciones locales en clave fotográfica -y que no se presenta
en esta muestra-. Uno más a modo de exorcismo del ánimo cartográfico convencional,
en clave de deriva ritual, cuyo registro en video hace visible lo que sucede
cuando un marco tecnológico-cultural hegemónico no puede imponerse. El último fruto
de este proceso muestra al propio artista foráneo “retratado” por adolescentes a
partir de un taller de intercambio de los saberes artísticos convocados.

 
- Cada uno de los participantes emite una voz, un
trazo o una experiencia que evoca a la conciencia y al reconocimiento del
espacio colectivo en el que se habita, visibilizando así capas de relaciones y
dinámicas sociales, creando un nuevo tipo de lenguaje con múltiples
percepciones de la realidad presentes en la comunidad y la ciudad. Es así que
se desarma, construye y reconstruye miradas del entorno, más allá de las
dispuestas hegemónicamente, nuevas interpretaciones del espacio donde se
destacan los conocimientos y saberes de aquellas personas que son reiteradamente excluidas como actores activos y clave en los
procesos de desarrollo.-
